Long ago in Italy, families needed quick, tasty meals using just a few ingredients. Tomatoes, pasta, and olive oil became kitchen heroes. This simple spaghetti was made after school, after work, and even late at night—proof that you don’t need many ingredients to make something delicious.

Steps

  1. Boil the Pasta
    Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. Make the Sauce
    Heat olive oil in a pan on medium heat. Add garlic (if using) and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Add Tomatoes
    Pour in the tomato sauce. Stir and simmer for 8–10 minutes. Add a pinch of salt.

  4. Mix & Serve
    Add spaghetti to the sauce, toss gently, and serve warm.
